Seeing the Sites with Joyful Praise
Wow!! I don't know how else to describe the amazing creation that I have been able to see today! The appropriate verse that pops into my mind is Psalm 36: 5-7, "Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings." What a mighty God we serve! He is so great that the mountains are under him and when one stops to consider how great the mountains are and then considers that God is greater than these by far. . . "What is man that thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that thou visitest him?" Don't we love and serve a merciful, amazing Creator?
Mr. and Mrs. Bevis took our group up to the top of Mt. Evens in Idaho Springs Colorado. From the top we could see Pike's Peak, and many more mountains that spread out before us. It was so beautiful. We were all pretty excited and enthralled with how amazing the view was, and how close to the edge our van was around every one of those tight cornered switch backs! "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord God." Thank the Lord that we are at the bottom and all in one piece. It was really amazing.

wow! that is so beautiful! how fun to see :) we miss u! the children's program started last night, and everything got done in time, yay! we had about 45 kids! :)
What an amazing sight! I would love to go there some day. Maybe I should add that to my list of 5,236,739,296 things I want to do someday! ;)
I have been paying the price of procrastination the last few nights and I have had to stay up past midnight working on my projects for the block course I took a couple weeks ago. Everything is due Friday, so the end is in sight!!! I'll give you a call when I am done!
